P5 - Huge Poplar Slab!

RARE HUGE POPLAR SLAB - 11 foot long! by approximately 1 1/2 foot wide. 2 inches thick!

MINOR ROT PRESENT - (see other slabs if looking for this not present) this slab contains areas of rot (dark/black areas). Rot can give the wood unique colour variation, and allows for feature areas when filled with epoxy or any other creative ideas to accentuate the unique details provided by natural process of light wood rot.

POPLAR: poplar is an exceptional wood for furniture making, it is often overlooked for more exotic and complicated hardwoods but humble poplar has a truely outstanding beauty and many great qualities to build in a more affordable price range than oaks, maple and other hardwoods.
